Wallets are great gift items for all occasions. Used by both men and women, young or old, wallets are indispensable accessories for carrying or organizing personal items such as cash, credit cards, identification documents, photographs and business cards. They can be made from different materials including leather and fabrics, with prices ranging from affordable department store finds to expensive designer brands.
Usually pocket-sized or small enough to fit in a purse, wallets can be simply placed in a box and gift-wrapped. When shipping a wallet as a gift, make sure that it is properly packed to avoid getting damaged during transit. Here are some tips on how to properly pack and ship a wallet.
If shipping the wallet in its own box, make sure that it sits snugly inside the box and will not move around. Otherwise fill any empty spaces with bubble wrap or tissue paper before closing the box. You may opt to wrap the box in gift wrapping paper and attach a bow and gift tag.
Get a slightly larger shipping box and fill the bottom with a layer of packing materials such as bubble wrap, crumpled paper or packing peanuts. Place the boxed wallet inside and fill sides and top with more packing materials to prevent movement.
Close the outer box and seal with packaging tape. Address and label the package and take to your local post office or shipping company.
