Photographs are the best way to preserve memories. A beautifully framed photograph of a loved one makes a unique gift for any occasion. When sending a framed photograph, some precautions are required as the frame glass can easily get broken and damage the picture with the shards. Here are tips on how to properly pack and ship a framed photograph so that it arrives in perfect condition.
Wrap the framed photograph generously with bubble wrap. At least two layers of bubble wrap will lessen the probability that it will be broken or damaged during the shipping process.
Make sure the frame is tightly wrapped. Use a lot of tape to secure the bubble wrap so that it won’t come undone.
Get a box that can snugly fit the frame with just a few extra space for padding. Place a layer of bubble wrap on the bottom of the box and place the frame inside.
Fill the empty space in the box with peanuts.
Close the box and seal with packaging tape.
In a bigger shipping box, place at least two layers of bubble wrap on the bottom and place the smaller box inside.
Fill the empty space with more packing peanuts up to the top of the box. The idea is to pack the box with packing materials so that the package inside won’t shift or move during transit.
Close the outer box and seal with packaging tape. Address and label the package and take to your local shipping company of post office.
