When shipping a shower heater, it must be properly packed to protect its delicate inner workings. Here are some tips on how to ship a shower heater.
A shower heater is best shipped in its original packaging. Detach removable parts from the main unit and place in the designated compartment in the original box. If shipping a pre-used shower heater, make sure to drain it well and pack it when completely dry. Each part should snugly sit in its compartment. If loose, use pieces of bubble wrap to keep the item from moving.
After all items are accounted for, including screws for the wall attachment and user manual, close the box and seal with tape. Nothing should move around when the box is shaken a bit, otherwise, fill empty spaces with more packing materials.
Place the original box in a larger cardboard box with a layer of packing peanuts on the bottom. Fill the sides and top with more packing materials so that the inner package is immobile and well protected on all sides. Close the outer box and seal securely with heavy duty packaging tape.
Address and label the package and take to your local post office or shipping company.
